Cooking in College: Get the most out of your food budget!



I often find myself at Meijer, thinking these fruits and vegetables are getting expensive, but oh look pizza rolls are on sale for one dollar.  The cost of eating and preparing healthy meals can be expensive.  This may explain why East Lansing has over five pizza places in a two mile radius and the Taco Bell always seems to have a crowd.  If you find yourself spending the majority of your budget on fast food, there are many ways to be cost-conscious when buying your groceries, without passing up nutrition.  Consider these ten strategies as part of a Healthy diet plans for college students to learn how to stretch and get the most of your food budget!
